In September of 2005, after careful review
of the wedding market--$40 billion and growing--Armadillo Advertising
created a new division, Nuptial Necessities. Nuptial Necessities’
mission is to work with brides and grooms to find the invitations,
favors, and wedding gifts that will make their wedding unique and one to
remember for a lifetime.
The first step in launching the new division was to create a logo that
incorporated W.C. the armadillo, but that also had the softer look and
feel associated with weddings. The result was a logo featuring an
armadillo bride and groom in all their wedding finery.
Nuptial Necessities formally entered the Texas wedding scene at the
September Bridal Extravaganza in Austin. Armed with sample “favors,”
cool T-shirts, and lots of enthusiasm, the Nuptial Necessities staff
greeted the more than 800 brides at the September show.
